На 11.12.2020г., старшите и част от младшите посланици на Европейския парламент към ПГМЕЕ Бургас, присъстваха на онлайн прожекция на документалния филм “Процесът”. Лентата проследява делото срещу Олег Сенцов – украински режисьор и активист за правата на човека, който е задържан и осъден на 20 г. затвор от руския съд заради участието си в протестите срещу анексирането на Крим от Русия. Режисьор на “Процесът” е Асколд Куров, сънародник на Сенцов.
Олег Сенцов е носител на престижната награда “Сахаров” за свобода на мисълта на Европейския парламент. Наградата му е присъдена през 2018г., но я получава на официална церемония в Страсбург през 2019г., когато е освободен от затвора при размяна на затворници между Русия и Украйна.
След онлайн прожекцията на филма се проведе дискусия, посветена на свободата на мисълта, която беше открита от Теодор Стойчев, ръководител на Бюрото на Европейския парламент в България. Панелисти на дискусията бяха режисьорът на филма – Асколд Куров, както и неговите колеги от Беларус и България Андрей Курейчик и Явор Гърдев. Дискусията беше изключително интересна. Публиката имаше възможност да се включи в нея и да задава въпросите си към панелистите. Младши посланик Илиан Кехайов зададе един от четирите въпроса, на които отговаряха тримата режисьори.
След края на официалната дискусия младшите и старшите посланици продължиха да обсъждат повдигнатите въпроси и да повдигат нови. Със сигурност темата остава отворена и екипът от посланици на Европейския парламент към ПГМЕЕ ще продължи работата си по нея: “Изводът за нас като старши посланици на Европейския парламент бе, че свободата на мисълта и правото на изповядване на лични убеждения публично е важна за младите хора. Прекрасно е, че за нашите младши посланици темата е приоритет и имат желание да я популяризират сред връстниците си и не само. Ние ще ти подкрепим с всички сили в това им начинание” – споделиха старши посланици Габриела Демирева и Десислава Кирова-Бъчварова.
